Mastering the Call to Action

Digital Advertising in Canberra means nothing if you do not know how to use your Call to Actions or (CTA's), because a Call to action can be the easiest way for you to establish a lead. It can make or break depending upon how weak or strong your CTA is, therefore I want to give you a few tips to make sure that you are doing the best you can to grow your brand and develop those necessary leads.

Wording
Really simple, stay clear from common words that are going to make you seem desperate or like you are pushing for a sale. For example, choosing between the words, 'buy' and 'shop' as a CTA, one might assume that they each mean the same thing. But you must understand that lots of people online have the tendency to avoid commitment, therefore subconsciously even there is a propensity for people to think that the phrase 'buy' is locking them into something, whilst 'shop' is a way for them to learn more details. The point I am trying to make is that you really will need to take into account the wording and avoid words that have unforeseen consequences.

Shape and Colour
It may seem peculiar, but Shape and colour of your CTA can affect its effectiveness. In the world of Digital Advertising there have been a variety of reports into the idea of design and its affect upon a customer's perception, and essentially one theory claims that curves are the most reliable way to go. So, if you want to try and optimise even further, think about making the button for your call to action curved, rather than a square.

Now, colour, this is a further area that there are a few theories on. Some people will have you think that green is wonderful because it means 'go', but to avoid red because it is 'stop', or that blue is calming so it may make people more relaxed ... Ultimately there really isn't any definitive evidence to suggest one option over another, so just choose what works best for your concept. One thing that I will touch on though is that you should understand the font size and colour-- If you want your digital advertising to be most helpful in the Canberra area, it is a smart idea to try and keep it different from the rest of your content, but don't go too wild.

Location

Where your call to action is placed is quite essential to digital advertising results.

All that I suggest by this is see to it that you don't have it stashed in a corner somewhere, or that you have way too much text that is complicating the Call to action.

In the end it all comes down to identifying the combination that helps you, remember your wording, shape, colour, size and placement of your brand's Call To Action, and when you bring all the components together just think basic and think about your consumer.

  1. It is important to pick the promotional techniques that are just perfect for your business growth goals. This is the reason I am planning to get help from a marketing consultant. I have been using the business text messaging app for now. The results with these bulk sms campaigns are also good but I would like to try out some other options too.
